A graduate shakes President Rao's hand at convocation

For over 100 years, the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work has thrived on fostering relationships among the community, students, faculty and alumni.

Much of our success stems from their commitment to our mission of promoting social and economic justice in a diverse and multicultural society.

Sixty-nine percent of our alumni choose to stay in Virginia to live, work and make a difference. From mentoring to teaching to philanthropic giving, our 10,000 living alumni continually find ways to stay connected and support the school.
