Sarah Lineberry is a doctoral student at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work. She holds an M.S.W. with a Certificate in Nonprofit Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2016), where she completed field internships at The Arc of North Carolina and the Carolina Institute of Developmental Disabilities. Lineberry is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and was a recipient of the Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Fellowship. She also holds a B.S. in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Prior to coming to VCU, Lineberry worked as a case manager for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with L’Arche Chicago, an inclusive, intentional community for people with and without disabilities. Lineberry has extensive experience working with people with IDD in the United States and abroad. Her research interests are in policies, practices, and models that promote community integration and holistic well-being for people with IDD.
