Allison works closely with VCU’s Division of Community Engagement, teaching service-learning courses since 2014. Her community partners are both on-campus and community-based organizations, including the The Mary and Frances Youth Center’s Lobs and Lessons, VCU’s Learning Gardens, Ram Pantry, OAR, and the Neighborhood Resource Center of Greater Fulton.
In addition to her position at the School of Social Work, Allison continues her work at VCU Medical Center as a part-time clinical social worker in the emergency department.
Allison currently serves on the Board of Directors for Caroline Furnace Lutheran Camp and Retreat Center, an organization focused on outdoor enrichment for all ages, community, renewal, and retreat.
