Humberto Fabelo is the VCU School of Social Work’s associate professor and associate dean for academic and student affairs. With 16 years of higher education administrative experience and 22 years of service to VCU, Fabelo leads these school’s efforts to provide students a positive and successful educational experience.
Fabelo has instructional responsibilities in the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs and has research interests in scale development, refugee and immigration and multicultural issues and trauma.
Fabelo is a licensed clinical social worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia and previously in the State of Florida with direct clinical practice and administrative positions in hospital settings and outpatient clinics.
