School of Social Work

Dannita Trice joined VCU as the alumni engagement officer for the School of Social Work in September 2024. Dannita helps School of Social Work alumni remain meaningfully connected to VCU and the School of Social Work, and enhances the overall alumni experience.

• School of Social Work alumni typically contact Dannita to: (1) get connected to the lifelong professional development, personal development and affinity resources offered to VCU alumni; (2) express their interest and/or willingness in participating as a speaker, mentor or similar to support students and faculty; (3) ask questions about upcoming VCU Alumni events and programs; (4) report their accomplishments (a promotion, award, new business, etc.) so that the School of Social Work can help celebrate; and/or (5) update their contact information so that VCU can remain in touch with the latest news, opportunities and more. Dannita will generally outreach to alumni about these same opportunities and resources.
• School of Social Work faculty, staff and students contact Dannita to get connected with School of Social Work alumni for events, programs and other academic initiatives.

Dannita serves in the same capacity for the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs and the School of Education.

Dannita has built a career focused on connecting people and developing strategic initiatives that foster meaningful engagement and professional development. She has over a decade of higher education, leadership and program management experience, and nearly three years of corporate campus recruiting experience at top financial services firms. As a VCU alumna, she is dedicated to building a vibrant alumni network and supporting VCU’s mission to create lasting connections within its diverse community.
