Humberto Fabelo, Ph.D., is an associate professor with the VCU School of Social Work. He previously served as interim director of the Ph.D. Program and as associate dean for academic and student affairs. He has 21 years of higher education administrative experience and 28 years of service to VCU.

Fabelo has instructional responsibilities in the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs and has research interests in scale development, refugee and immigration and multicultural issues and trauma.

Fabelo is a licensed clinical social worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia and previously in the State of Florida with direct clinical practice and administrative positions in hospital settings and outpatient clinics.
