Pronouns: She/her

In January 2026, Madison rejoined VCU’s School of Social Work as the assistant dean of student affairs and an assistant professor. In this role, Madison oversees all aspects of student engagement, recruitment and admissions, academic advising, student retention, scholarship administration, student support services, and coordination with relevant university offices. As a leader, Madison is passionate about student-centered practices and is motivated to create an environment that empowers students throughout their journey at the School of Social Work.

In addition to student-centered practices, Madison is passionate about college-level basic needs access. Prior to her current role, she served as the inaugural program coordinator for VCU’s Basic Needs Program, where she created and managed daily operations to ensure students had access to housing, food, and childcare. She approached this work with a focus on the complexity of students’ experiences and addressing access barriers within higher education — an approach she continues to bring to her work as assistant dean of student affairs.

Before working as the VCU Basic Needs Program coordinator, Madison spent five years in VCU’s School of Social Work, where she held several key positions. She began as the on-campus M.S.W. student success advisor in the Office of Student Success and then transitioned to the Office of Field Education as a program field coordinator. During the 2022-23 academic year, she served as the assistant director of field education. Madison also taught numerous classes as an adjunct professor, including serving as a field liaison and a field instructor.

In her free time, Madison enjoys being outside, crafting and spending time with her loved ones.
