School of Social Work

Sterling Murray is originally from upstate South Carolina, but came to VCU as a freshman in 2018. Sterling is now a 2022 VCU alumna with a B.S. degree in psychology, a minor in biology, a baccalaureate degree from VCU Da Vinci Center and a certificate of leadership from VCU LEAD.

She has always been extremely involved on campus, ranging from being the 2019-2020 RHA vice president, a RAM CAMP leader, gathering over 200 hours of leadership and community engagement, and being a peer mentor. After graduating, she became a VCU Alumni volunteer, AAAC mentor and, most recently, the student success administrative coordinator for VCU School of Social Work. Some of the things Sterling enjoys when she is not at VCU are spending time with her family and 3-year-old boxer, shopping and finding unique trinkets at thrift stores, and reading tons of mystery novels.
