Madison is the on-campus M.S.W. student success advisor. In her role, Madison provides students with the knowledge, tools and resources they need to be successful in the M.S.W. program. Madison’s favorite parts of the job include building relationships with students, being an advocate for their needs and working collaboratively with colleagues to support students’ success.
Prior to coming to VCU, Madison worked primarily in Richmond’s and VCU’s LGBTQ+ community. She has facilitated numerous groups for LGBTQ+ youth and their parents, worked to improve programming tools at a local nonprofit and advocated for positive policy changes for LGBTQ+ Virginians.
Madison also enjoys data analysis and has taught research skills to graduate students as an adjunct professor through the School of Social Work. It was during her time as an adjunct that she developed a passion for helping students succeed.
In her free time, Madison likes being outside, watching old horror movies and playing with her two dogs, Brutus and Fanny Pack.
