Sarah first joined the School of Social Work as a student success advisor in 2014 before eventually serving as the director of advising and retention from 2019-2024. Sarah assumed her current role as assistant director for M.S.W. Program administration in September 2024. Throughout her time with the School of Social Work, Sarah’s main priority has been to empower students to build a life and career that fulfills them and allows them to contribute to the world in a meaningful way.

Sarah is a proud AmeriCorps alumna who served 2006-2007. Since 2007, Sarah has dedicated her career to higher education and has previously worked directly with students at Guilford College, Duke University, North Carolina Wesleyan University, Ohio University, Nova Southeastern University and the University of Richmond.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking local trails, connecting with friends over coffee, creating opportunities to travel as often as possible and spending time with her partner and their two young children.
