School of Social Work

Micah Weedman is the term prep designer for the Office of Online Education at the VCU School of Social Work. Micah is responsible for working with school course coordinators to transfer existing course content from blueprint courses to the appropriate online sections.

Micah is a learning experience designer with a background in academic, government and health care contexts. He also works as a designer at a large medical center in Nashville and has done instructional design work for Columbia University, Louisiana State University, Boise State University and others.

Micah's background is in higher education, specifically in student leadership development and social justice programming. He completed his Ph.D. in leadership studies, where his research explored intersections of university leadership programs, critical leadership studies and late-20th century moral and political philosophy.
